About
Violet Lewis is a rising industry professional from Los Angeles studying Songwriting at Berklee College of Music. Through her studies, Violet has developed a sharp ear for what makes truly great songs. As President of Berklee A&R Group, Violet leads an elite group of 20 A&R representatives. In addition to scouting meteoric unsigned talent, Violet organizes pitching sessions with A&Rs at major and independent labels and publishing companies, sets up sessions with unsigned artists, writers, and producers, plans and facilitates A&R panels, spearheads professional development seminars, and creates visual pitch decks.
Over the past five years, Violet has held several successful jobs and internships in the music industry, most recently as an A&R intern at APG. Currently, Violet is a Talent Relations Ambassador at Berklee Career Center where she scouts and pitches Berklee talent to record labels, publishers, managers, talent buyers, and sync agencies. She also develops release plans, branding, marketing strategies, and demos for emerging talent. Additionally, Violet is the Program Assistant for Berklee Popular Music Institute, an exclusive institute at Berklee College of Music that scouts and books artists at major music festivals including Lollapalooza, Governors Ball, Louder Than Life, Inkarceration, Bourbon & Beyond, and more. Beyond scouting and booking the talent at music festivals, during the summer of 2023 Violet was Kieran Rhodes’ Tour Manager at Sound on Sound in Bridgeport, CT, and JVK’s Publicist at Louder Than Life in Louisville, KY.
Violet has a wild and deep passion for great music and for helping artists she truly believes in. She describes her taste as music you can dance to, music you can drown in, or anything with an epic guitar solo.
